Nashville Smut Lovers was founded in September 2023 by longtime friends Maryssa Edwards and Alexa Sierra. With over a decade of friendship under their belts, they first bonded over their shared love of travel, careers as nannies, and Great Danes—but it was their mutual obsession with smutty romance novels that truly sealed the deal.

Maryssa’s journey into the world of smut began with 365 Days by Blanka Lipińska, sparking her love for mafia romance and all things dark and dangerous. Alexa’s gateway book was Bound by Honor by Cora Reilly—also a mafia romance—which launched her lifelong adoration of morally grey book boyfriends.

What started as a Facebook group has now grown into a vibrant, multi-platform community on Instagram and TikTok, connecting with over 10,000 amazing women (and some men). They pride themselves on being a judgment-free zone where everyone is welcome. They host at least one meetup a month (and often more!), giving members a chance to make new friends, chat about current reads, and share their love of spicy stories.
